The short version
This site runs business-IP and website analytics while you use it. A notice on your first visit says so, and you can opt out at any time through the "Analytics settings" control. When analytics run, our hosting and analytics services process your IP address, the page you view, the referring page, your browser user-agent, a timestamp and related visit data.
We use that to understand which content is useful, to see when a visit appears to come from a company network, and to support business-to-business outreach. We do not gate any content behind a form. We do not use browser fingerprinting. We never sell your information.
Business-IP analytics
While analytics are on, the site sends the current page address and referrer to a server-side function hosted by Netlify. Netlify provides the connection IP address and browser user-agent to that function. The function asks ipapi.is to classify the network and, when possible, to name the business and domain behind it.
A visit record can include the IP address, the network classification, the associated company or network provider, its domain, the page viewed, the referrer, the user-agent, the site name and a timestamp. Records go to a Google Apps Script endpoint and a Google Sheet used by our advisory team. Business visits may be grouped by company and used for sales outreach. Consumer, internet provider, hosting, bot and unmatched traffic may also be logged for measurement, filtering and troubleshooting.
What an IP match means
An IP match is an estimate based on network registration data. It can point to an employer, an office network, a carrier or a hosting provider. It does not tell us which person viewed a page.
The third-party analytics tools installed on this site are Google Analytics and Leadfeeder (Dealfront). Each provides website and business-visitor analytics and may use cookies or browser storage to recognize repeat visits.
What you send us on a form
Our requirement forms ask for your name, company, work email and, optionally, a phone number, along with the requirement itself: load, markets, dates, density, cooling, delivery model and any notes. The site form for landowners and developers asks for site location, power status and your goals. Submissions go to Netlify's form service, are stored with your submission, and are sent to our advisory team so an advisor can respond.
We use what you send to answer you and to run the search you asked for. We do not publish it. We do not share it with a data center provider or developer without your permission, and when we describe a requirement to operators we do so without naming you until you agree.
Optional solar and utility lookups
If you choose "Save as new draft," the estimator stores up to 20 named budgets in this browser, including entered property details, addresses, costs and cooling/solar settings. "Update selected draft" replaces only the chosen budget; saving a new name retains the other drafts. It is not sent to us or synced to other devices. Utility confirmations and boundary results are excluded and must be checked again after restoring. "Delete selected draft" removes only the chosen budget draft without changing current inputs or cached solar profiles. Resetting inputs keeps all drafts. Clearing browser site data also removes it.
Official boundary checks send property coordinates through Netlify to selected public utility and government GIS services hosted by ArcGIS or the City of Denton. These run with likely-utility lookups or when you request an independent boundary check. Addresses and financial inputs are not sent to these boundary services. Boundary findings stay in browser memory until changed or reset and can be included with their sources and check date in your CSV export. They do not confirm parcel service.
When you request likely serving utilities, Netlify forwards property coordinates to OpenEI's Utility Rate Database. Property-address matching sends the entered address to Census. Utility candidates are retained temporarily in server memory, with no browser storage or CDN caching. Only a candidate you confirm is recorded as lookup evidence in your downloaded budget; manual corrections remove that association. These requests do not include financial inputs.
Operating budgets and installation-price entries stay in your browser unless you download or submit them yourself. When you request a solar-location match, Netlify forwards the entered US street address to the US Census Bureau geocoder. When you request production, Netlify forwards latitude, longitude, mounting, module, orientation and loss assumptions to the National Laboratory of the Rockies' PVWatts service, formerly NREL. Financial inputs are not included in those lookup requests.
The estimator retains up to four modeled weather profiles in browser storage so you can change area or revisit the same settings without another lookup. These include coordinates and model/weather metadata. Resetting budget inputs does not clear these profiles; browser site-data controls can remove them. The server reuses a bounded number of recent lookups in memory. Production responses can be cached by the hosting service; address-match responses are not cached by its CDN.

Service providers
Netlify hosts the site, applies regional access controls, runs the server-side function and receives form submissions. ipapi.is provides network and company classification. Google Apps Script and Google Sheets receive and store analytics records. Calendly handles meetings you book. These services process information under their own terms while providing services to us.
Analytics choices and storage
Optional analytics run unless you opt out. If you opt out, the business-IP beacon and third-party analytics are not loaded, and the page reloads to unload anything already running. Your choice is stored in your browser so later visits honor it. Reopen "Analytics settings" at any time to change it.
The site also keeps a random visitor ID in your browser, along with the first page you landed on and the site that referred you. The ID is sent with analytics page views. If you book a meeting, the ID, that first source and the page you booked from are added to the Calendly link, so we can see how you found us. The ID does not identify you by itself. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
Regional availability
The site does not currently serve visitors whom Netlify geolocates to a European country. Those requests receive a regional-unavailability response before the website or any analytics script loads. Geolocation is approximate and based on the request's network address.
Retention and sharing
We keep analytics and outreach records for as long as they are reasonably useful for the purposes above, subject to operational, legal and security needs. We share information with the service providers that run this workflow. We may disclose it when required by law, to protect rights or security, or as part of a business transaction.
Your choices and how to reach us
You can ask about information associated with you or your company, request a correction, or request deletion where applicable. Browser and network privacy tools can also limit the IP address or referrer a website receives.
